Behavioral Health Specialists is a small group therapy practice based out of Overland Park, KS. Our therapists provides a range of behavioral health services to patients, and have specialities in a variety of areas.
Role Description
This is a full or part-time hybrid role for a Psychologist at Behavioral Health Specialists in Overland Park, KS, with complete flexibility around remote work. The Psychologist will be responsible for providing counseling, conducting psychological assessments, and developing treatment plans for patients. Ideally, we are looking for Psychologists who can provide psychodiagnostic assessments for diagnoses such as ADHD, ASD, mood/personality disorders, etc.
Employees choose their own schedule in terms of hours and whether you work in-person or via telehealth, or both.
Employees set their own rates and fees, and can choose to be panelled with insurance companies or work using private pay. BHS has a staff that provides all administration and clerical work, and navigate all aspects of the insurance company processes.
For Psychologists who want in-person therapy and testing, we offer an office and office furniture (if desired).
Fee Structures and Salary
- Employees work from a W2, and based on a split fee structure.
- Any employees working less than 22 hours per week are considered Part-Time, and will work at a split of 55/45, meaning that clinicians take home 55% of their earned fees, and 45% goes to overhead company needs.
- Psychologists working more than 22 hours per week move to a 75/25 split, wherein they take home 75% of their earned fees.
The portion of the split that goes to the company pays for office staff salaries, malpractice insurance, rent, office supplies, and other office necessities. BHS pays half of all employees' federal income taxes by being a W2-based company, which provides additional financial incentive.
Salary is based on each clinician's schedule and reimbursement structure.
Please note that BHS does not offer any medical or dental insurance at the present time. Any time off is unpaid, as clinicians make their own schedules and can take off any days or times they would like at any point.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate patients' mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Engage in telehealth sessions to expand access to mental health services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in psychology.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Valid Kansas state licensure or certification as a Psychologist.
- Strong skills in mental health counseling, child family counseling, and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care and advocating for the mental health needs of clients.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
