Position Summary:
We are seeking a Speech Therapist or BCBA with expertise in feeding therapy to work with a young boy during school hours in Long Island and/or during after-school hours at his home in Brooklyn. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping children with feeding challenges, comfortable working across settings, and skilled in collaborative care.
Job Type: Part-time, Contract
Morning Hours: 11:30-12:30 M-F in West Hempstead
Afternoon Hours: flexible, but between 4-6 in Brooklyn (Prospect Park South)
Qualifications:
- Licensed Speech Therapist or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Specialization and experience in feeding therapy (required).
- Experience with teaching child how to chew and transition from puree foods to solid.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ABA, speech-language pathology, or related educational/clinical field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collect and analyze data to inform therapy
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Punctual, dependable, and organized
- Comfortable collaborating with school staff, families, and a clinical team
- Not a current employee of the DOE
