POSITION SUMMARY :
The Manufacturing Project Manager (MPM) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing manufacturing projects from inception to completion. The role focuses on delivering high-quality results within defined timelines and budgets while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The MPM collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize resources, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Project Planning and Management :
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
Define clear project objectives, deliverables, and performance metrics.
Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to achieve goals.
Team Leadership and Collaboration :
Lead cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technicians, and supply chain professionals.
Foster a collaborative environment to ensure effective communication and alignment among stakeholders.
Resolve conflicts and provide guidance to team members.
Risk Management :
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Monitor and address issues that could impact project success, such as supply chain disruptions or equipment failures.
Quality Assurance and Compliance :
Ensure projects meet quality standards, industry regulations, and safety requirements.
Work closely with quality control teams to address defects and implement corrective actions.
Process Improvement :
Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimization.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and other efficiency-enhancing methodologies.
Stakeholder Communication :
Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including project status reports, milestones, and financial summaries.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client and internal communications regarding project progress.
Budget Management :
Track project expenses and ensure adherence to the approved budget.
Proactively address cost overruns and recommend cost-saving measures.
QUALIFICATIONS : Education :
Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Certifications :
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Additional certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or related fields are a plus.
Experience :
5 years of experience in manufacturing project management or a similar role.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale manufacturing projects.
Skills :
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and supply chain management.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Proficient in project management software (e.g., Smart Sheets).
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
