What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter/Loader position at Behlen Mfg Co.?
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Responsible for operating painting systems for structural steel as well as loading it.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Set up, operate, and maintain spray paint guns.
- Safely operate overhead crane and / or forklifts to move materials.
- Responsible for the quality and quantity of the finished product.
- Record materials placed on trucks for shipment.
- Clean rust and other debris from steel beams and columns.
- Creates and maintains a working team environment.
- Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping.
- Responsible for any other tasks assigned by Team Leader, as required.
- Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures, and job safety analysis (JSA).
- Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality.
- REQUIREMENTS :
- Must be able to safely operate material handling equipment.
- Must be able to pass respiratory clearance testing, if necessary.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to twist and bend 80% of the time
