What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Coaching and Development Representative - Dallas/Fort Worth position at Behr Paint Company?
This role is responsible for the execution and adoption of the coaching and development initiatives that drive performance of strategic business priorities within the sales team. This individual, in conjunction with the sales coaching and development leadership team, identify and develop training solutions to drive the growth of our business within their designated region.
These activities may include the implementation and coaching of sales training, sales/on-boarding and educational programs that support sales team development and employee involvement. This role supports business change initiatives that benefit employee motivation, morale, retention, and workplace efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- With direction from corporate and the regional leadership, executes the deployment, adoption, and application of Behr’s annual Strategic Deployment Plan (SDP) using the tools and processes to full potential.
- Develop, communicate, coach to the training initiatives to the assigned regional sales team through regional leadership partnership that influence market penetration, growth initiatives and region-specific marketing.
- Monitor, guide, and coach sales team to achieve business targets, improve selling skills (strategic and tactical) and build sustainable customer relationships.
- Lead learning initiatives in new hire orientation, sales process and consultative selling, presentation skills, product training and any other key learnings that align to the strategy.
- Develop skills and abilities to uphold the organizational strategy on lean thinking, continuous improvement processes and principles of our company.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops and deliver effective presentations at an executive level.
- May attend and assist at trade shows and special events for presentation needs.
- Abide by all company policies and procedures and maintain a safe and ethical work environment.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Educations and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree, or related field or equivalent experience in related field.
- Experience of successful sales or sales management, preferably within the coatings industry
- Experience in coaching, training, and deployment
Certificates, License, Registrations or Professional Designations
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, meet and maintain the Company motor vehicle policy.
Other Requirements
- Must be able to work all shifts including weekend and holiday hours.
- Travel up to 30% to include overnight travel required depending on geographic territory.
- Manage the corporate credit card, motor vehicle and expense reporting according to company policy.
- Ability to legally work without sponsorship for employment visa status.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Must live within 1 hour to major airport.

- Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes flexibility to alternative ways to advise and train in various environments and demonstrate training techniques and tools via written, oral, and visual media.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborative and credible team builder, exhibiting the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
- Strong communication skills, service oriented, is perceptive and actively looks for ways to help others. Has excellent interpersonal skills with a performance history of building positive partnerships while working collaboratively with cross-functional business units and internal/external customers.
- Track record of coordinating and prioritizing work effectively using project management and change management skills.
- Outstanding problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
