What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reach Truck Operator, 1st Shift position at Behr Process Corporation?
To thrive as a Warehouse EquipmentOperator,you must have a commitment tosafety.You willsafelyoperatea forklift or reach truckin the distribution centertoeitherload and unloadproductsfrom inbound and outbound trailersorto stock androtate inventory.
Each day,youwillbe responsible forroutine maintenance andoperation ofa forkliftwith a slip-sheet attachment, reach truck (up to 35 feet),ora rider jacktoload and unload productfromthe dockor to downstock, re-stock, and rotate dated product.You will use a scanner gun or wand to inspect shipments and detect any errors or defects as well as document anydiscrepancies.Attention to detail is crucial in this role, as you willbe responsible forrotatingproductby stock number and placingitonthe correctshelf and in the correctaisle.In addition, youwillperform routine quality inspections on inventory andreportanypossibledamages, shortages, or errors.

A commitment to safety.We arevery proudof our safety record and want you to be a part of that. You will be required to wear proper safety equipment,includingsteel toedshoesand safety glassesat all times.
Attendtraining.Youwon'tbe able tooperatewarehouse equipment until you are fully trained. You will begin witha lotof safety training and other equipmenttraining.
Attention to detail.You must pay close attention to stock numbers,finddefects in inventory, andbe careful ofyour surroundings to accuratelymove product.
Education.A high school diploma or GED isrequired.Knowledge of basic math is alsorequired.
Someexperienceoperatinga forklift, reach truck, slip-sheet attachment, or rider jack ispreferred.
Here'swhat we offer you:
Warehouse Equipment Operatorsstart at $19.50/hr. Team members will receive a $0.50/hrincrease at 6 months of employment and another $0.50/hrincrease at one year of employment.
All offshifts also receive a $3/hrshift differential.
