BEI Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support renewable energy projects our High Voltage division. This role will report to a Project Manager with frequent travel to jobsites located throughout the Bay Area. Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee and monitor jobsite production in conjunction with Project Managers
- Coordinate and update project schedules and assists with job meetings
- Organize, attend, and participate in client and customer meetings
- Support Project Manager advanced administrative processes, including timecard processing
- Create reporting for clients and customers
- Coordinate subcontractor and divisional training
- Participate in client driven trainings as needed
- Evaluate, track, and update job schedules
- Assist Project Manager in cost control and procurement of goods and services including bid solicitation and negotiation
- Assist Superintendent with facilitating RFI’s and site documentation
- Cooperating and communicating with Project Managers and other project participants
- Collaborating with operational team members to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability
- Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status
- Creating frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection
- Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
- Undertaking project tasks as required
- Maintain a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective
- Travel to jobsites as needed
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or a related field strongly preferred or equivalent work experience in the construction industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid CA Driver License and MVR that meets BEI driving standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, both written and verbal
