Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting and loading/unloading of products. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellent service.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload products efficiently, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Plan and follow optimal routes for timely deliveries while adapting to any changes in traffic or weather conditions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met.
- Handle heavy lifting of packages and materials, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial driving or delivery driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roadways is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday.
- Experience using loading equipment such as pallet jacks is advantageous.
