What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director, Product Management position at BeiGene?
The team of product managers is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, identify minimum viable product (MVP) and working closely with engineers, analysts, and internal stakeholders to ensure the satisfactory goals are met. The product manager also ensures that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goal. The role be vital to the team bringing innovative solutions that enables critical decision-making and operational efficiencies to the company.
Major Responsibilities
Partner with business to define the product vision and strategy. Understand internal technical capabilities
Identify product with prioritized features and corresponding justification
Ability to understand R&D stakeholders’ needs, translate into detailed requirements and executable tasks and create buy-in for the product vision both internally in DSDI and with key stakeholders
Work closely with engineering teams, strategy and portfolio manager to deliver quick prototype, release plans (including versions with specific feature / functionality based on value to the business considering time-to-deliver) and optimal resources
Identify product definition compared to industry landscape and perform build versus buy analysis
Assess changes in business needs and adapt product direction and / or identify risks and associated mitigation strategies
Developing Intuitive visualization, Dashboards, KPI scorecards, Charts, Graphs using Business Intelligence tools
Building advanced User interface (UI)\User Experience (UX) for software solutions
Gain understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas to improve customer experience and drive growth. Ability to either build or provide direction / guidance on utilizing predictive analytics tools to provide actionable insights to create operational efficiency and other key performance metrics (KPIs).
Strong understanding of clinical and operational data extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, AWS or AZURE cloud technologies.
Effectively communicate with key stakeholders to build dynamic data-driven solutions
Work with Communication and Development manager on product launches including branding, education and demos
Qualification
A strong understanding of pharmaceutical / biotech industry, and sense of business in clinical operation and data management
Excellent knowledge on diverse datatypes and data sources, ability to provide evaluations of usability and applicability to the business function
Life sciences or healthcare discipline preferred
With great strategic thinking and planning skill to setting the product’s goals and key initiatives
With problem sensitivity and good problem-solving skill
With excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
With excellent interpersonal skills to effectively influence and lead the people from customers to stakeholders to team members
With excellent research and analytic skills
Excellent delegation skills to be able to clearly portray expectations for tasks, resist micromanaging team members and regularly check in the status of the task
Excellent prioritization skills to be able to objectively enforce prioritization to successfully complete tasks and meet goals and deadlines
Experience working using Agile Methodology
Digital product development experience highly desire
Bachelor with 8 years or Master with 6 years or PhD with 4 years’ experience with educational background in Information technology () , computer science () , computer engineering () , software engineering () , applied math () , Analytics or statistics () .
