General Description :
This position may be located anywhere and will lead Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) for multiple offices globally to drive EHS culture. The EHS leader will be responsible for developing strategy and leading the implementation of all aspects of the global EHS program within the office environment.
The EHS Director will create partnerships with BeiGene leaders and property management representatives at all office locations to assist in identifying workplace safety and health risks and in implementing control measures that align with company initiatives. Additionally, the incumbent will be consulting with colleagues on day to-day safety operations, emergency response procedures, and will serve as the focal point for Safety Awareness training and messaging.
The incumbent will be responsible for knowing, interpreting, and appropriately applying all applicable country, federal, state, and local laws, statutes, and regulations pertaining to office safety. He or she will also partner closely with the following BeiGene departments : WPS, Legal / Compliance, Global Security, Human Resources, and Compensation / Benefits.
Accountable for preparing, forecasting, and managing global office EH&S budgets.
Interacts with other leaders within all the regions and Global team to share best practices and ensure best-in-class EH&S services are delivered regionally and globally.
Essential Functions of the job :
- Must have track record of ensuring office safety programs and strategies are in-line with best practices, effectively developed, implemented, and maintained.
- Develop and administer a proactive global office Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) program.
- Experience in managing a team of EHS professionals.
- Previous experience developing a strategy for implementation EHS policies and procedures across many different locations.
- Lead the development of tracking, analysis, and assessment of global office EHS metrics and advise management about company impacts and improvements.
- Create and champion the global office EHS training program and assess for effectiveness.
- Oversee the company-wide office EHS accident and incident investigation process, embrace continuous improvement, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in the preparation, completion, and timely submittal of related agency regulatory reports.
- Specific areas of oversight include emergency response planning and incident response, material handling & disposal for office environments, industrial hygiene assessments, ergonomics, accident report oversight, pandemic planning.
- Must have inclusive leadership skills to achieve desired results in a highly matrixed work environment, and proven track record of exceeding stakeholder expectations.
- Must be capable and driven to establish partnerships, strategically lead and manage sensitive safety related investigations. Must be capable of providing recommendations for resolution, and leading initiatives to mitigate future safety risks.

Salary Range : $167,000.00 - $227,000.00 annually

Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
