Develop, implement and administer the global insurance risk management strategy of a publicly traded, triple-listed global bio-pharmaceutical oncology company. Evaluate relevant exposures, determine risk retention and placement of insurance coverage as appropriate.

Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the insurance requirements for all entities including coordination with local colleagues and brokers.
- Marketing, policy negotiation and claims administration for the auto liability, clinical trial liability, crime, cyber liability, director and officer liability, fiduciary liability, environmental liability, general liability, product liability, property, stock throughput and workers compensation insurance programs.
- Support clinical trial operations by securing statutory clinical trial insurance by country, review of informed consent documents and site contracts, respond to Ethics Committees and/or regulatory authority inquiries, handle all aspects of claims administration.
- Secure builders risk insurance for construction projects.
- Actively participate in the BeiGene enterprise risk management team.
- Manage insurance provider and broker relationships.
- Provide technical guidance to key internal stakeholders on insurance related matters including risk mitigation initiatives and negotiation of insurance provisions in third party agreements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and statutory insurance requirements in countries where BeiGene operates. Secure local insurance coverage as needed and proactively address requirements in emerging markets.
- Collaborate with legal on insurance claims, indemnification related inquiries and contractual insurance provisions.
- Manage the issuance of certificates of insurance.
- Preparation of the annual insurance budget and quarterly forecast updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, accounting or a related field is required
- MBA and experience with enterprise risk management is desirable
- BS / MBA with 10 years risk management experience
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry preferred
- Minimal travel required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
