Summer Internship: Manufacturing Science & Technology Intern, Purification (Onsite - Hopewell, NJ)

Education Required : Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering, biochemistry, biotechnology, biology, or other STEM degrees.

General Description : We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join the Purification MS&T Department for a dynamic hands-on experience. As a MS&T Purification Intern, you will actively contribute to tech transfer and commercialization in the Beigene Hopewell US Flagship Site. This internship offers an insight in the work involved with manufacturing biopharmaceutical therapies. You will work closely with skilled scientists and engineers supporting downstream manufacturing. By the end of the internship, you will have acquired practical skills in laboratory operations, purification processes, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Essential Functions of the job :

• Assist in the setup of equipment in various purification laboratories, ensuring proper configuration and functionality.
• Conduct equipment testing and verification procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability in laboratory processes.
• Collaborate in the preparation of technical transfer documentation, as required, to facilitate seamless transitions between processes and teams.
• Acquire hands-on experience in adhering to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) standards to maintain high-quality laboratory operations.
• Provide support for Continuous Process Verification of the downstream manufacturing process, involving meticulous data collection and analysis utilizing relevant software tools, particularly JMP.
• Actively participate in global cross-functional project team meetings, gaining exposure to Process Development and Process Characterization initiatives within the organization.
