What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista/Cashier position at Beignets & Brew Auburn?
Summary of Responsibilities:
Here at Beignets and Brew, we want to bring a positive, youthful, fun vibe while our guests stop by for a quick pick-me-up or a place to sit back and relax while enjoying our delicious beignets, coffee and beer/wine! Being a barista means you will give the customer their first impression of our products that we serve and the customer service we deliver. We aspire to have our Krewe members greet guests when they arrive even if it’s a simple “Hi, Welcome to Beignets and Brew. What can I get started for you today?” We highly encourage you to bring your best creative skills to work every day being a barista. Creating new and exciting coffee/latte art is one way to keep our customers coming back every day! We want to ensure our guests have a very memorable experience from the very beginning to the very end.
Essential Functions:
Communicates and works well with guests and Krewe members. Makes coffee and knows how to properly work the machines.
Fully understands the menu. Understands the products and helps guests that may have any dietary restrictions/ preferences.
Cleans/maintains the coffee machines multiple times a day. Ensures the products are made in a timely and efficiently manner, excelling on quality and consistency.
Preps/stocks items throughout the shift. Cleans and sanitizes all designated station(s) and equipment.
Ability to learn quickly. (We will have new seasonal drinks throughout the year!) Performs any additional tasks necessary to help Krewe members/managers.
Required Experience:
Must be able to work within the State and Federal guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
Carries a positive attitude to ALL Krewe members and managers, even while under pressure.
Ability to maintain face-to-face interaction and communication with guests and Krewe members.
Ability to walk and stand throughout the shifts.
Ability to bend, lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Working Conditions:
May be required to work late nights, weekends & holidays.
Guest may want to sit on the patio area outside (weather permitting) and patio area needs to be cleaned and presentable at all times.
Krewe members must be in full uniform and appropriate hygiene is required.
