BekaertDeslee USA Inc. is BekaertDeslee’s production and distribution center for the USA and Canada.
BekaertDeslee USA employs about 280 persons and manufactures and sells mattress ticking to the
abovementioned markets from its 270,000 sq. ft. plant and 87,000 sq. ft. warehouses. The plant consists of two
main buildings with an extrusion line, a preparation department for the production of weaving beams, a weave
room with 60 jacquard looms, a knitting department with 53 circular knitting machines, a finishing department
with 2 tenter frames and a hot-melt machine, and other necessary equipment and a warehouse.
Essential Functions and Key Result Areas:
1. Keep the area around the machine clean and safe to work it
2. Assist in any area requested by manager or supervisor at any time
3. Check before knitting; creeling/pattern
4. Check during knitting with special attention to the fabric, selvedge, yarn guiders and feeders
5. Check the creek on each machine with the knit card and each doff at the begging of shift
6. Clean machines
7. Change patterns as needed
8. Creel bobbin in accordance with knit cards
9. Change needles, check fabric for flaws
10. Re-thread when yarn breaks

Physical Demands Summary:
· Climbing. Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet
and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount
and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
