Bekaert Deslee is the world’s leading specialist in the development and manufacturing of mattress textiles, mattress covers and on trend sleep solutions with U.S. operations in Winston-Salem, NC. Bekaert Deslee develops stylish and smart mattress fabrics that will inspire, comfort and protect you during the night.
The main objective is operating the tenter frame that applies a finish to fabric.
Responsibilities
- Verify information on weave cards matches what is being run on machine
- Patrol assigned machines and inspect cloth for off quality occurrences
- Repair warp breaks and weft breaks as they occur and restart machines
- Notify technician of problems with machine that affects efficiency or quality
- Creel yarn into creel stands if necessary
- Repair crossed warps
- Apply and use appropriate BMS codes
- Other duties, as assigned
Skills
- Proven experience as a machine operator
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina and strength
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
