Electronics Smart Home Manager – Coopersville, MI

Position Summary:
Bekins is looking for an Electronics Integration Manager who is excited to find new ways to motivate, measure performance, evaluate, and reward teams. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and implement successful management strategies. The Electronics Integration Manager will be a highly inventive team player, who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient. This position also works with Project Managers and Sales Professionals to apply the latest integrated electronics to customers’ homes. The new manager will need to have strong organizational and problem-solving skills. This is a full-time position with a 45-hour work week, Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Manage personnel including training, reviewing, developing and coaching
- Clearly, concisely and respectfully communicate with customers, vendors and co-workers
- Strive to make department and team organized and efficient
- Ability to read construction drawings, wiring drawings, and manuals
- Communication skills to clearly and concisely explain systems to customers – training them in how to use their new products
- Ability to create easy to read documentation, budgets, and system designs with software we will teach you how to use
- Ability to ask internal and external customers questions to find out exactly what they are wanting to achieve with their smart home electronics system.
- Continuously evaluate processes for improvement
- Expertly be able to discuss and educate customers on available Smart Home electronics
- Set and keep accurate work schedules, calendars, and schedule boards for all employees in your department.
- Schedule and conduct regular department meetings.
- Care for your team. Desire to make a positive impact on them.
Qualifications:
- Organization; ability to create structures to support or accomplish a plan
- Passion for continual improvement and efficiency
- Professional and concise communication skills both verbal and written
- Willing to hold themselves and others accountable
- Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience as a Manager
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and implement successful management strategies
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience with D-Tools and Visio a plus
- Have an on-going passion for the latest technology
- Be proficient in today’s technology (smart phones, smart TV’s, smart home technology).
