What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Bel Air Family Care?
Family practice in Bel Air, MD searching for a reliable Medical Assistant to fill our alternating 8-4:30PM/8:30-5:00PM
Duties:
- Take patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis, HCG, COVID, flu, and strep swabs, EKG's, etc.
- Schedule patient appointments and answer phone calls
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant training program
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
