As a Digital Merchandiser for DiscountMugs.com, you will play a key role in ensuring our e-commerce website is optimized for both visual appeal and sales performance. This role requires a combination of creative merchandising skills and a strong analytical background to track, analyze, and improve the performance of product categories. You will work closely with the merchandising, finance, analytics, and marketing teams to curate the digital storefront, optimize product placements, and deliver actionable insights to improve both our visual presentation and pricing strategy. Additionally, you will help manage and report on the effectiveness of product performance, ensuring that every product is showcased to its fullest potential.
*This is a hybrid role, requiring the ability to work both remotely and on-site as dictated by business needs. Must be available to come to the office as required.*

- Manage and optimize the visual merchandising of product categories on the DiscountMugs.com e-commerce platform, ensuring all products are properly categorized, visually appealing, and aligned with marketing objectives.
- Ensure maximum site uptime and optimal performance, addressing any issues swiftly.
- Manage content updates, including product uploads, promotions, and adjustments to existing pages.
- Provide ongoing analysis of product category performance, including metrics such as promotional strategies, sales, conversion rates, and customer behavior, to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable changes to the merchandising strategy.
- Monitor and analyze pricing data, working closely with finance to ensure the appropriate pricing strategies are applied using our pricing system, and make recommendations for price adjustments based on performance insights.
- Create and maintain reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for merchandising and pricing, including sales trends, product and category demand, and margin optimization.
- Support A/B testing and CRO initiatives to enhance user experience and improve conversion metrics.
- Assist in tracking and analyzing SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics and SEM Rush, providing data-driven insights for potential improvements.
- Contribute to business analysis efforts by helping define system requirements and document updates or new platform features.
- Work with cross-functional teams (IT, Sales, and UX) to ensure a cohesive and impactful online shopping experience that reflects the brand’s vision and drives conversion.
- Develop and manage the digital product presentation, including product imagery, descriptions, and banners, ensuring they align with ongoing promotions and seasonal campaigns.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends and potential gaps in the online product presentation.
- Use data to inform decisions about product placement, category structure, and promotional tactics on the website.
- Lead post-campaign analysis, including reporting on the effectiveness of merchandising strategies and pricing adjustments, and recommend future actions based on data-driven insights.

Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in digital visual merchandising, e-commerce, or related roles with a strong emphasis on data analysis.
- Experience with complex pricing strategies and familiarity with e-commerce pricing systems.
- Proven track record of working with web analytics tools (Google Analytics) and merchandising tools (e.g., BigCommerce, Shopify, or similar platforms).
- Strong experience in driving product performance analysis and creating actionable insights to inform merchandising strategies.
- Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) and other key metrics for e-commerce success.
- Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making to optimize website content and product placement.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills, including Excel skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Deep understanding of e-commerce merchandising best practices and how they affect both visual appeal and conversion rates.
- Proficiency in web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.) and data visualization platforms.
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, including dynamic pricing, and the ability to analyze and make adjustments to pricing models.
- Detail-oriented with an eye for design and a creative mindset for curating a visually appealing digital storefront.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively across teams and present data-driven insights.
