Job Summary:
Belcan is seeking Precision Inspectors to provide onsite inspection services at our client"s Jamestown, ND facility. This role involves performing product qualification inspections using blueprints, specifications, and metrology tools, ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards. The Precision Inspectors will be responsible for First Article Inspections (FAI), nonconformance documentation, and supporting Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Uses a variety of measuring devices, testing equipment, computer software, and process control documents to perform in process and final verification inspections of aerospace product.
*Loads, operates, and unloads Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for inspection of product.
*Works with product stakeholders to determine and report product status to internal and external customers.
*Performs First Article Inspections (FAIs) and inspections on product undergoing FAA Conformity.
*Prioritizes and manages their tasks to ensure area efficiency semi-autonomously.
*Raises notifications of non-conformance, quarantines non-conforming product, and assists in root cause analysis of discrepant product
*Verify product conformance and document non-conformances in SAP.
*Support Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts and assist with nonconformance investigations.
*Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
*Assist Quality Engineering in problem-solving, statistical analysis, and calibration activities.
Required Qualifications:
*Experience in precision inspection and aerospace manufacturing quality standards.
*Proficiency with CMM inspection and handheld metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
*Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
*Experience using SAP or similar systems for nonconformance documentation.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an understanding of root cause analysis (RCCA).
*Ability to apply intermediate skills by adapting existing (or writing new) procedures, techniques and tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
* Computer Savvy: Working knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new systems.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
*Base knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and basic to intermediate math skills.
*Base knowledge of FAA regulations and aerospace standards.
*Knowledge of statistical analysis for quality improvement.
*Background in internal auditing and compliance.
*Familiarity with calibration processes and quality management systems.
