JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Maintenance and improvement of data collection methods, analysis and dissemination required to describe quality performance of products and processes.
Collaborate with management on deployment and continuous improvement of QMS elements adhering to ISO 9001 : 2015, AS9100 requirements, and customer requirements.
Responsible for education and employee communication on impacts and responsibilities within the Quality Management System.
Oversight over development and deployment of quality guidelines and controls during product development and continuous production.
Oversight for supplier quality activities including qualification and auditing.
Supports product development through analysis, product reliability data and participation and support of product development activities including FMEA / PFMEA, design reviews and design verification and validation.
Subject matter expert for product risk analysis in product and process development activities.
Oversight and leadership of inspection criteria and procedures at all applicable stages of product realization.
Provide leadership and guidance for root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies including lean and six sigma tools, 5S and processes.
Provide leadership and guidance to the application of process and product analysis using statistical methods to include product reliability, process capability and statistical process control (SPC).
Planning and execution of employee training, development, and inner-department succession planning.
Oversees calibration and testing programs.
Adheres to plant and department safety rules. Identifies and reports safety problems.
Safely operates all equipment and tools.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor"s Degree or Equivalent
- First article inspection experience
- Manufacturing background with experience working in a machine shop
Ability to measure parts with various metrology instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, etc.
Knowledge of standard GD&T to be able to interpret drawings and determine part conformity.
Experience PPAP / APQP is a plus
AS13000 certification a plus
Experience in FAIR submittal
