Job description
The Production Assembler is responsible for putting together component parts or pieces adhering to a specified set of blueprints or schematics. You will verify the correct quantities of components parts and quality checking completed items, manage parts inventory and use hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products and structures.
Responsibilities:
*Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
*Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
*Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
*Follow company procedures and directives.
*Test finished products for defects.
*Maintain the tools used to create products.
*Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
Education and Experience:
* High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
* 0-2 years related experience
* Previous assembly experience
* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
* Mechanically inclined:
-small precision technical work
-building small and complex objects either professionally or as a hobby, i.e. assembly of items with electrical components such as switch boards, pumps, motors, etc.
Skills and Knowledge:
* Interpret blueprints & work instructions
* Ability to use test stand equipment and hand tools
* Ability to problem solve
* Effective communication skills
