Ergonomist Job Description
Job Title: Ergonomist
Payload Rate: Up to $38.12/hr DoE
Location: Tucson, AZ
Job Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve ergonomics programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company EH&S requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for proactive strategies to prevent ergonomic injuries.
- Develop and deliver ergonomics-related training and presentations to promote awareness and compliance.
- SUPPORT AND IMPLEMENT SITE INJURY REDUCTION AND ERGONOMIC GOALS AND INITIATIVES.
- Answer employee compliance questions/concerns and influence safe behaviors.
- Conduct first aid and OSHA injury investigations and root cause analysis.
- Identify corrective actions and track to completion.
- Interpret and apply OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, IFC, IBC, and other applicable regulations and standards.
- Manage and provide support to other site EH&S program areas as needed.
- Analyze leading and lagging safety performance indicators for trends to drive corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor's of Science degree in ergonomics, human kinetics, kinesiology, human engineering, or a STEM field, or equivalent experience.
- Associate Ergonomics Professional (AEP), Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) preferred.
- 2-6 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with EHS project or program management.
- Experience in providing and/or developing EHS training.
