Junior Buyer

Location : Albuquerque, NM (100% onsite - Monday thru Friday)

Job Type : Contract

Pay Rate : $25 - $30 / hr (depending on experience)

Schedule : 1st shift

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide excellent and timely customer service to internal customers in fulfilling the procurement process.
• Manage supplier lead-times to ensure on time delivery of goods and services to match required dates from internal stakeholders.
• Create and manage purchase orders and subcontracts to ensure satisfactory performance.
• Embrace a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to overcome challenges and achieve procurement goals.
• Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including supplier performance data, NDAs, contract information, and pricing agreements.
• Assist in the implementation of procurement strategies and initiatives.
• Work closely with project teams, engineering, communicating, and coordinating related purchases, problems, evaluation of services, minimizing construction risks, etc.
• Develop and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers for specified supplies, while understanding the production processes and internal systems.
• Purchase requirements of assigned materials at the lowest long-term cost for the quantity, quality and delivery required.
• Negotiate the lowest possible long-term cost through competitive bidding and market supply knowledge
