Job Responsibilities
- Develops, evaluates, and implements manufacturing methods and process planning.
- Develops and implements new product manufacturing processes and production tooling.
- Designs, develops and test and/ or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommend manufacturing methods.
- Monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through
- Performs products/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
- Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
- Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
- Maintain housekeeping at and around department.
- Apply 6s principles to all areas of the plant.
- Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area.
- Follow all quality systems and operating procedures as applies to certifications, duties, and training matrix.
- Follow all company rules and regulations, including safety rules.
- Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree in related field preferred.
- At least 3 years in NPDI engineering, preferably sheet metal fabrication of high nickel based alloys for the aerospace market, or related field with proven skills.
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Excellent cognitive and analytical skills, and reading and writing skills.
- Strong computer background, organizational, planning, and typing skills.
- Effective communication skills and human relations skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
