What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant and Toddler Teacher Assistant position at Belding Area Schools?
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in early childhood programs (preferred)
- Serve as a role model for students and staff in demonstrating positive attitudes, appropriate attire, and effective work ethic.
- Must have fingerprints scanned electronically and submitted to Belding Area Schools and Childcare Licensing.
- Ability to cooperate and effectively communicate with parents and staff members
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
- Participate in appropriate in-service and workshop programs and attend any required meetings.
- Provide medical services as needed.
- Comply with LARA requirements (Ex. First Aid, CPR, SafeSchools, etc.)
- Perform other related duties as directed by Director.
Essential Duties:
- Classroom set-up/take down
- Ensure safety and well-being of each child
- Attend all required trainings
- Establish and maintain rapport with students, families, faculty, etc.
- Work with lead teacher to follow lesson plan
- Comply with LARA requirements (Ex. First Aid, CPR, SafeSchools, etc.)
- Assist with children and activities in the classroom as directed
- Assist in recording keeping, as assigned with lead teacher
- Help with bathrooms, diapers, and mealtime
- Perform additional duties as requested
