What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hot Shot Driver position at Belfonte Ice Cream?
Belfonte currently has an opening for a Hot Shot Driver. Shift if 7:30am to 4:30 Monday - Friday. Some days may run over time depending on how many deliveries need to be made that day.
The Hot Shot Driver shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Drives truck to deliver products or render services of the dairy industry to customer’s place of business. Collects money from customers and records transactions on customer receipt.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a valid Chuffers or better driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willing to obtain a Class B or better CDL.
- Must drive in a safe courteous manner
- Must be able to use a two-wheeler to move products.
- Must be able to walk and stand on concrete for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds continually during the shift.
- Must be able to lift, bend, twist, turn and move objects above and below the head.
- Must be able to work in a very hot (100 degrees) or very cool (less than 32 degrees) environments throughout the year and work outside, in whatever conditions are, most of the time.
- Must be able to perform work in a manner and speed consistent with established levels.
- Must be able to present invoices and receipts and collect payment for goods delivered or loaded.
- Must be able to read load sheets and invoices accurately.
- Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions, perform basic math functions, and fill out written daily reports accurately.
- Must be able to count accurately.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal geographic directions.
- Must be able to work extended shifts and may be required to work flexible schedule as needed.
