Apprentice Job Description
The position of Apprentice is very important to Z PLUMBERZ. Anyone performing this role must be ready to learn, grow and advance within Z PLUMBERZ. An apprentice will not only learn the Plumbing Trade, but will also learn business, customer service, soft skills, sales training and ethics. It is extremely important to remember that an apprentice is an asset to Z PLUMBERZ and to all its Team Members.
Team Member assists a skilled-trades person in all phases of work associated with a particular trade. This classification involves a three-year supervised training program with the Team Member progressing in one-year increments if performance is satisfactory and license requirements, if any, are met. Credit toward the three-year apprenticeship is given for prior training and/or experience in the trade.
Job Description
Responsibilities and essential functions include, but are not limited to, assisting all co-workers with tasks as needed, joining skilled-trades persons on job sites, becoming familiar with current procedures of Z PLUMBERZ, and beginning to understand Practical Plumbing Systems and materials.
Duties of the Job
1. Operates hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to selected trade.
2. Performs manual labor associated with the trade.
3. Runs errands, carries and delivers materials, tools and equipment.
4. Cleans tools and equipment.
5. Does skilled trades work commensurate with years of experience as an Apprentice.
6. Other duties as required
Salary Range and Status
$13.00 - $15.00 / hr
Positions are full time, benefited and hourly. Hourly rates determined with experience, seniority, qualifications and attitude.
Working Conditions
A 40 hour week is typical. Position may require additional hours during unusual or unforeseen circumstances.
At the General Manager’s discretion daily hours will vary with business requirements.
Work is mainly outside/warehouse with times that inclement weather and temperature extremes may be required.
Educational Requirements
GED or High School Diploma
Drug Testing/Motor Vehicle Testing

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
