VISION FOR POSITION
The Assistant Principal of Early College and Career (AP-ECC) drives excellence in teaching, learning, and career readiness to ensure that scholars graduate with the skills, credentials, and experiences necessary to thrive in postsecondary education and the workforce. The AP-ECC manages career and early college pathways, oversees instructional quality within these programs, and works closely with the principal and leadership team to provide a transformative high school experience. This leader ensures that BELIEVE Circle City High School (BCCHS) achieves academic and career excellence by refining and implementing policies, systems, and partnerships while upholding the core values of BCCHS.

This role requires an individual who is a strategic thinker, an innovative problem solver, and a committed educator dedicated to the success of both students and teachers.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Co-create and implement the vision, goals, and strategy for Early College and Career programming, ensuring student success in dual enrollment, work-based learning, internships, and certification programs.
- Develop, coordinate, and evaluate career pathways, ensuring alignment with industry needs, student interests, and postsecondary opportunities.
- Manage partnerships with colleges, universities, workforce development organizations, and industry leaders to provide authentic learning experiences for students.
- Oversee the implementation of rigorous, standards-aligned instruction in early college and career programs, supporting teachers in developing engaging, career-relevant curricula.
- Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of teachers for early college, CTE, and work-based learning programs.
- Coach a caseload of teachers in Early College and Career programs, using data-driven instruction cycles, classroom observations, and targeted professional development.
- Monitor and analyze student performance data, including GPA, attendance, work-based learning participation, certification completion rates, and postsecondary enrollment.
- Organize and deliver professional development that enhances teacher capacity to integrate career readiness skills, dual credit coursework, and industry certifications into instruction.
- Oversee the coordination of standardized testing, industry certifications, and other assessment measures relevant to Early College and Career programs.
- Facilitate quarterly data conferences and intervene with specific teachers and teams as necessary to ensure student success in career and college pathways.
- Collaborate with student support teams to ensure scholars receive the necessary academic, social-emotional, and career guidance to navigate their postsecondary options.
- Advocate for students and teachers by celebrating successes, sharing challenges, and promoting continuous improvement within Early College and Career programming.

- Strong instructional leadership, with expertise in coaching teachers and driving data-informed improvements in student performance.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, consistently thinking ahead to proactively problem-solve and drive results.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, staff, and external partners.
- Ability to cultivate strong, productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, especially students who require additional support in navigating career and college pathways.
- High level of professionalism, including punctuality, reliability, responsiveness, and follow-through.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 Years of Teaching or Leadership Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Education, Leadership, or a related field
- Experience with Early College, Career & Technical Education (CTE), or Workforce Development
- SPED Certification Preferred
- Experience managing partnerships with colleges, employers, and workforce organizations
- Active Indiana Teaching License preferred, not required
