Believer Meats is an innovative start-up revolutionizing the food industry through the development and commercialization of cultivated meat products. Leveraging cutting-edge biotechnology, we aim to provide sustainable, ethical, and high-quality meat alternatives to consumers worldwide. As we near completion of a new plant and prepare for commercialization, we are seeking Warehouse Coordinator to join our team.
The Warehouse Coordinator will play a key role in the set-up of the warehouse for Believer Meat’s new cultivated meat production facility. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in the warehouse environment and a desire to grow and make an impact at our start-up company. The Coordinator reports to the Supply Chain & Warehouse Logistics Manager, updates inventory databases, moves products, and assists with shipping and receiving. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential to the role.
This is a full-time, hourly, dayshift role eligible for benefits (PTO, Paid Holidays, Health Care, Parental Leave, and Retirement). The Warehouse Coordinator works dayshift on-site in Wilson, North Carolina.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
- Creates systems and organizes inventory including consumables, ingredients, and finished goods.
- Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database.
- Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
- Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
- Directs forklift drivers to store goods in identified areas and operates forklift daily.
- Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed.
- Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
- Performs other related duties as directed.
- Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers’ count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing officer per company policy
- Prepares bills of lading for shipments.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in the warehouse environment, preferably in the food manufacturing industry . The incumbent Warehouse Coordinator will have a combination of skills, education, and skills that demonstrate the ability to fulfill all aspects of this job description.
