Summary : The Regional Business Development Manager holds a pivotal role in driving the organization's growth and development. This role is formulating and executing sales and business strategies, expanding sales channels, and customer relationships within the Mid-Atlantic and Carolinas. The position also involves mentoring and leading the sales team to achieve targeted objectives.

Primary Duties :

  • Overall responsibility and leadership for the organization’s sales growth and business development for the Mid-Atlantic and Carolinas region.
  • Monitor market, industry trends and competitor analysis to drive the development of effective sales and business strategies to increase revenue within assigned region.
  • Expand sales channels to acquire new customers, set targets, and develop performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain sales activity reports, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor performance and progress toward regional business development goals.
  • Document all sales activity, pipeline updates, and client interactions in the CRM system to ensure data accuracy and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Drive customer relationship management to ensure exceptional customer service, negotiation strategies and techniques to acquire and keep business.
  • Lead, train, and manage a business development team to achieve their targets and objectives and provide mentorship and talent development within the department.
  • Regularly review sales performance metrics to refine strategies and targets to achieve sales goals.
  • Identify operational or strategic gaps within the business development process and implement effective solutions by guiding and directing the team to achieve desired outcomes. Proactively address challenges to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with regional goals.
  • Analyze customer’s demand cycle to identify current and future requirements and needs.
  • Develop and define the cadence for customer outreach, meetings, and field interactions to ensure consistent engagement and alignment with business development objectives and service level agreement.
  • Attend industry social and educational events.
  • Represent all companies in a positive and professional manner.

Knowledge :

  • 4-year college degree in Business / Marketing or Engineering
  • 4-8 years of related work experience in business development or sales leadership roles supporting the construction industry.
  • Track record for meeting sales targets and driving business growth
  • Proficient in Math, math concepts and construction industry documents
  • Skills and abilities :

  • Strong leadership skills managing department and build good rapport across departments.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a focus on talent development.
  • Effective time and stress management skills.
  • Proficient multitasking capabilities, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skill
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and ability to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely

  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
  • Ability to travel and be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
