Mow/Specialty Crew Member

Belknap Landscape is in search of skilled individuals to become part of our Specialty Crew. We offer a variety of employment opportunities, including full-time, part-time, seasonal, and year-round positions.

The Specialty Crew at Belknap Landscape is dedicated to carrying out particular and often intricate landscaping projects that demand specialized skills and expertise in both residential and commercial settings. This team is equipped with focused knowledge in specific areas of landscaping, such as pruning, edging, mulching, brush cutting, and planting. They engage in specialized tasks that require a high level of knowledge and proficiency.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Trimming, mulching, plantings, spring/fall clean-ups
• Machine & hand edging, seasonal & dormant pruning, hand weeding, turf and plant management
• Seasonal plantings
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Ensure safety regulations and standards compliance
• General landscaping duties
• If applicable snow plowing and shoveling during the winter months

EDUCTION & TRAINING

• NHLA Certification (not required but a plus)
• Experience and knowledge in Horticulture (2 years)

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
• Must be able to operate general maintenance equipment and vehicles
• The ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
• A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to your team
• A strong work ethic and demonstrated reliability
• Knowledge of plants, soil, and horticultural techniques
• Plant identification
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics

PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly exposed to extreme temperatures and various weather conditions.
• Frequently required to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of items exceeding 50 pounds.
• Often required to reach above and below shoulder level.
• Frequent hand manipulation is needed for grasping, handling objects, and operating controls.
• Frequent bending and squatting, with occasional twisting and kneeling.
