What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Supervisor position at Belkorp Ag, LLC?
Purpose:
As Parts Supervisor, your role is to support the parts side of our business company-wide. This position will support the company by ensuring delivery of outstanding customer service by assisting the store operations in managing inventory levels, ordering, stocking, and pricing parts. This position supports the growth of our parts business, implements the annual Deere initiatives per the yearly promotional calendars, and continuous company process efficiency.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist the Parts Excellence Manager on the day-to-day operation of Belkorp Ag’s strategy for the parts departments and ensure financial performance is achieved.
- Complete daily stock orders with John Deere and ensure all short-line inventory levels are accurate.
- Ensure cycle counting is conducted consistently across the entire company.
- Ensure John Deere parts meet expectations, such as achieving first-pass fill rates.
- Initiate pre-season orders for the company.
- Develop and manage a culture of trust between vendors, Store Managers, and customers.
- Work with all Store Managers to promote and merchandise parts, accessories, and inside sales products on the showroom floors.
- Ensure company showrooms feature seasonal parts displays that are current, well-maintained, and clean.
- Help develop, communicate, and monitor effective parts & department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction with the assistance of the Parts Excellence Manager.
- Assist in developing and executing the parts marketing plan and monitoring monthly results to ensure the achievement of departmental goals.
- Oversee quarterly write-offs for zero sales for Deere and non-Deere parts.
- Communicate with my Supervisor and team to implement best practices and consistent processes for my department.
- Coordinate with Parts Supervisors from other locations to ensure inventory integrity reporting is completed and meets company requirements.
- Support in implementing department changes.
- Support by assisting in any general store management and administration needs.
- Responsible for ensuring all company processes' consistency through written procedures and training.
- Participate in safety evaluations and run site safety committees and ergonomics programs.
- Never operate any equipment you are not properly trained on and have not inspected prior to using for example, but not limited to, vehicles, tractors, forklifts, mowers, drill presses, grinders, hydraulic presses, welders, and other general equipment.
- Follow all safety rules, policies, procedures, and Job Safety Analysis for each job. These are found in Teams/General Channel/BelkorpAg/Safety.
- Report all unsafe findings you see to your manager immediately or through Everyone Speaks anonymously on Teams/General Channel/Everyone Speaks.
- Manage coverage and approve time for PTO and On Call.
- Approve time punches following payroll procedures and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- 2 Years in the Ag industry
- 4 Years parts inventory experience
- Extensive knowledge of John Deere and competitive equipment, as well as technology trends and advancements
- Ability to work in a team environment and strong interpersonal skills
