What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Hatchery 2nd shift position at Bell and Evans?
To safely clean and sanitize processing rooms and equipment while understanding and complying with all Food Safety and Safety policies and procedures. Perform self-inspection (pre-op) in preparation for inspection by Quality Assurance and USDA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Using high-pressure hoses and chemical applications, clean all equipment being used by production.
- Make sure to follow and know all 7 Steps of Sanitation
- Perform self-inspection (pre-op) of all general areas (floors, drains, walls, etc.) and equipment in preparation for Quality Assurance and USDA
- Ensure all equipment meets sanitation standards as required by USDA and ensure the room is ready on time for production to start processing.

- Must be able to least 20 pounds consistently.
- Exposure to toxic chemicals and fumes; personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required. PPE must be always worn while performing tasks.
- Able to work in wet, hot, humid, and or even cold conditions. (must wear PPE)
- Able to effectively communicate with supervisor and team member
