The warehouse team lead is responsible for overseeing the Warehouse area as well as helping to keep the department flowing efficiently while maintaining quality to a high standard.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
- Be on the floor to help monitor operational processes (meaning: “You are responsible for your area”)
- Assist in the training of new team members; ensure they follow proper safety procedures
- Ensure consistent product /workflow is always maintained
- Engage with the team members, “really get to know your team members!”
- Ensure all pallets are picked accurately and loaded properly
- Drive and Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities (i.e. identify, communicate and assist in identifying and resolving process deviations and other process related issues)
- Assist and facilitate the team member huddle meetings
- Assist in the co-ordination of work assignments
- Perform physical tasks as needed; and ensure the entire team are following good manufacturing practices
- Ensure all PPE is being always worn, including masks
- Have near perfect attendance “Lead by Example” Know the importance of being here daily and on time
- If you see something that is a violation of our Key Expectations, Act and inform your Supervisor Immediately
- Maintain good housekeeping standards to prevent incidents (e.g. slip/falls)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and train team members so that they’re fully capable of implementing the Company’s policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
