Controller

The Controller is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and leading the accounting team of 5 . They manage financial reporting and internal controls to support the organization's financial health.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Develop and maintain internal financial controls and policies.
• Supervise and guide the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Train and mentor staff to ensure consistent application of policies and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and financial reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial processes and reporting.
• Develop/Implement/Improve accounting systems and software for efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead periodic inventory activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA a plus).
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably involving leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Experience with Microsoft GP & Business Central ERP systems, QuickBooks, and tax compliance tools is a plus.
