Bell & Associates has been engaged to help our client recruit their next Divisional Controller. Our client has a great growth story and is continuing down that path. This is a platform company that was formed in 2021. Tons of growth through M&A. Now at 600 employees and $450m, 20% growth and lots of acquisitions in the pipeline. This is a newly created role to support the Division President and own the accounting function for the division.
As Regional Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial activities within the East. You will work closely with the executive team and finance department to ensure financial compliance, provide strategic financial guidance, and drive profitability across the region. Your role will be critical in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the company's growth objectives. You will be the key financial business partner to the Vice President of the East Region. The East region currently includes four rapidly growing companies as well as their synergies with other companies.
Responsibilities
Lead, monitor, and participate in all financial activity and analysis of the region
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends to assist both the Company and Regional leadership teams in understanding the performance of the business and developing strategies aligned
- Provide recommendations and actions on investment decisions
- Analyze and assess financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance
- Participate in the development and execution of the company’s plans and programs as a strategic partner
Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Maintain books and records consistent with company policies for both GAAP and management accounting
- Lead the financial integration of newly acquired entities in the East Region. This involves partnering with the Sr Finance Manager of Integration, the Sales Operations team, the IT team, and many others to execute the Integration Playbook that has allowed our teams to successfully integrate the many brands in the West and Central regions.
- Partner with the Corporate Accounting team to ensure successful annual financial audits
- Monitor and maintain internal controls
- Ensure accurate project accounting and operational data exists for all entities within the region
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of finance and business professionals within the region
- Implement shared services for Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable processes. Partner with the Central and West Regional Controllers to ensure alignment & best practice amongst regions
- Provide leadership to the accounting and finance department team to achieve continual improvement initiatives and provide individuals with professional growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred)
- Proven experience in a financial leadership role, with at least 2-4 years in a regional or multi-site capacity
- Ability to travel as required within the region
- Strong knowledge of management and US GAAP accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulations
- Proficiency in financial software, including Microsoft Excel, ERP, Reporting, and Consolidations systems
- High level of confidentiality

Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
