Job Summary:
This position works in conjunction with the Commercial Real Estate Administration team on commercial loan real estate due diligence which includes appraiser engagement, appraisal review, and evaluation preparation and review.
Primary Duties:
- Bid appraisal to appropriate appraisers by first assessing property type, location, etc.
- Appraisal engagement.
- Completes appraisal reviews independently to ensure accuracy and validity of report; may complete more intermediate to complex appraisal reviews under the supervision of more senior team members.
- Understand and adhere to appraisal requirements as it relates to appraisal compliance and adherence to FIRREA.
- Communicate appraisal results with Bankers; including discussion of and resolution of appraisal issues identified by the Banker.
- Consult with appraisers on issues relating to the request for information to include legal description, plat maps, sketches, building plans, purchase agreements, and financial information.
Evaluation related duties:
- For commercial real estate loan transactions that do not require a certified appraisal, complete and document a valuation supported by market data; may complete more intermediate to complex appraisal reviews under the supervision of more senior team members.
- May, from time to time, assist the Commercial Real Estate Administration Valuations Manager by performing the second review of the internally prepared evaluations.
- Use tools and resources available to research market data.

Job Skills Required:
- B.A or B.S in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related business field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of banking experience in commercial credit, lending, and/or commercial real estate administration.
- High attention to detail with an ability to multitask and perform a variety of tasks, including communication with title companies, environmental consultants, or loan officers.
- Above average written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external staff.
- Proficiency with computer technology.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
