Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Operations Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of Bell Institutional Investment Management, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining the smooth functioning of various operational processes. You will serve as a key point of contact between investment management and operations.
Primary Duties :
Provide operational support to traders, including settlement differences, corporate actions and security maintenance.Serve as the first point of contact for third-party trade order management system to ensure smooth operations.Address and resolve performance discrepancies, asset classification, composite and benchmark maintenance.Identify opportunities to streamline and improve operational processes, contributing to the ongoing development of the operations function.Identify problematic areas and work with the team to implement strategic solutionsPerform daily cash management functions, including cash sweep / transfers, reconciliations, and settlements with custodian and other external counterparties.Prepare detailed cash forecasts, investment trade and rebalancing plans, and other reports necessary to facilitate effective portfolio management.Ensure capital calls, wire transfers, and investment manager funding / redemptions are executed in a timely, error-free manner.Lead / manage investment-operations projects and other ad hoc requests.Independently address service problems or shortfalls with custodian and identify potential areas of improvement.Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.Prompt and reliable attendance.Perform other duties as assigned.Job Skills Required :
B.A. in business, finance, accounting, economics, management information systems, statistics, or field closely related to any of these degrees.3 - 5 years of experience in the investment management / financial industry, preferably in operations or related functions.Passion for the investment management, security analysis industry.Knowledge of the following areas :Investment terminology
