Job Summary :
This position is responsible for researching and assisting with the implementation of software solution related projects. This includes the ability to be autonomous on small tasks and help deliver the larger efforts of work with a team as well as the ability to provide guidance and mentoring on the process and tools to junior members of the team, while still seeking out senior team members for advice and mentoring. This individual will provide professional technical services and support to Bell Bank solutions. These solutions include SharePoint, Cognos, CRM, file movement, data integration and more. Either alone or in collaboration with other Software Solution Engineer team members, this position researches hardware environment and software to determine root-cause analysis to resolve problems, document the solution and communicate the resolution. This role will develop a deep technical and SME level of understanding of specific solutions. Important aspects of this role are continued learning of the domain, embracing feedback and continuously improving.
Primary Duties :
Work with business users and team members to document, analyze and create solutions that will be automated in a solution environment.Help to develop and distribute best business practices across all solutions.Integrate third-party tools and services and / or custom code into a solution.Installing and testing of software upgrades.Troubleshooting of solutions and daily support as needed through work requests.Ensure that existing policies and procedures are maintained that relate to software solution implementation.Provide exceptional customer service to internal employees requiring solution support.Complete solution support tasks and collaborate with a team on larger projects, following departmental procedures.Be receptive to guidance and mentoring from senior team members on processes and tools.Be responsible for learning the domain, embracing feedback and continuous improvement.Work with outside vendors for assistance in resolving computer related problems.Research and document solution dependencies, requirements and usability with operating systems, browsers, databases, and other infrastructure solutions such as virtualization.Responsible for installing and testing of software patches and upgrades. Provide instructions and training to staff when necessary.Ensure that solution support documentation is maintained and accurate. Publish articles in a way that is readily available for search.Work flexible hours to meet end user support needs.Complete all assigned departmental and corporate trainingActively participate in department and team meetings, team building, and other events.Create and properly document work utilizing applicable internal and external systems in accordance with published procedures.Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.Prompt and reliable attendance.Perform other duties as assigned.Job Skills Required :
Excellent public relations, verbal and written communication skills.A degree in an IT related field ore relevant experience of 2 - 4 years.Experience in MS Office products.A basic knowledge of personal computers and related software programs including, but not limited to, all Windows Platforms.A general knowledge of network operating systems, and integrations into other network based applications and desktop software.Good problem-solving skills.Bell Bank provides competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.
