Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient flow, and maintaining the overall efficiency of the front office. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic and we are looking for a detail-oriented individual to fill this position.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors, and provide assistance with scheduling appointments and checking in for appointments.
- Manage patient records, including updating health information and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including restocking supplies and ensuring that the area is tidy and welcoming.
- Provide administrative support to the office, including filing and data entry.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the front office team to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding patient health information.
- Stay up-to-date on clinic policies and procedures, and participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of medical terminology and health information management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a dental clinic.
- Proficiency in using electronic dental health records.
- Experience with OPEN DENTAL SOFTWARE would be an asset
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient health information.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
