As a Sensory Center Receptionist, you will be the welcoming face for our sensory panelists, ensuring they have a smooth and positive experience. You’ll help prepare and administer sensory panels, maintain clean and organized workspaces, and provide general support to the Sensory team.

As a Sensory Center Receptionist, you will be the welcoming face for our sensory panelists, ensuring they have a smooth and positive experience. You’ll help prepare and administer sensory panels, maintain clean and organized workspaces, and provide general support to the Sensory team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Greet panelists upon arrival, follow check-in procedures, record attendance, and communicate daily schedules and instructions.
- Proctor sensory panels by serving samples and assisting panelists with basic computer issues.
- Prepare samples for sensory panels, including labeling cups, preparing simple recipes, portioning samples, and organizing trays.
- Assist in the preparation of questionnaires and studies in the online software Compusense, as needed.
- Ensure all areas, including the kitchen, booths, viewing room, focus group room, and bench areas, are clean, sanitary, and well-organized.
- Periodically take inventory of kitchen supplies and communicate needs to the Facility Manager.
- Assist the panel leader with training room setup and ensure materials are ready for the day.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Sensory team.
- Reliable and available to work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm or can be flexible.
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Excellent customer service experience with an easy-going, yet results-oriented
- Knowledge of kitchen GMPs and the operation of kitchen appliances.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ability to follow basic food preparation instructions.
- Must be odor/aroma-free to maintain an unbiased sensory testing environment.
- Proficiency in Windows-based software (e.g., Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office).
