Position Summary:
The objective of this role is to lead and manage the supplier qualification program at Bell International Laboratories. The Supplier Quality Specialist will focus on qualifying our suppliers including audits and quality agreements, reviewing new material requests, and monitoring supplier performance. Additionally, this role will concentrate on continuous improvement through the implementation of effective supplier corrective actions. The Supplier Quality Specialist will play a key role in ensuring products meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality objectives, while promoting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- In coordination with the Purchasing function, lead the qualification of suppliers, including the distribution and review of supplier questionnaires and conducting audits of more critical suppliers.
- In coordination with other Quality functions, assure the quality-related aspects of our supplier agreements align with our internal requirements.
- Participate in the investigation of nonconformances related to incoming materials and issue supplier corrective actions where appropriate.
- Oversee the timely completion of supplier corrective actions.
- Create and monitor key performance indicators related to incoming quality and use this to monitor the performance of suppliers and maintain their compliance status.
- Assure that records related to suppliers and incoming quality are stored and retained in compliance with internal procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in safety, GMP, and other company-required training sessions.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Experience with quality management software and systems (e.g., Document Control, Nonconformances, CAPA, FMEA, Statistics).

RequiredEducation and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in relevant field.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a life science regulated industry (e.g. pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics).
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master of Science degree in relevant field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a life science regulated industry (e.g. pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics)
- Experience in Supplier Quality or Purchasing functions.
- ASQ certification (e.g. CQE, CSQP, CQA).
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
