Auto Body Painter
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Custom Auto Body Painters who use their artistic talent and technical skills to paint and refinish high end luxury vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive restoration, possessing the ability to create or recreate original, to factory specs results. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering the highest quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their desires and expectations for the auto body paint job
- Prepare and prime the vehicle body for paint, including sanding, buffing, and masking
- Apply paint to the vehicle body, ensuring a smooth and even finish
- Develop and mix paint colors to match the vehicle’s original color or client’s preference
- Use spray painting equipment to apply decorative finishes or custom designs
- Inspect and assess vehicle damage and perform minor body repairs if necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including cleaning spray guns and other equipment
- Monitor paint supplies and order additional stock as necessary
- Stay updated with the latest techniques and technologies in auto body painting
- Restoration or new creations of vehicle body by applying color-matching techniques to provide a consistent finish.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto-body painting techniques for professional seamless results.
- Proficiency in using the essential tools of trade.
- Knowledge of auto restoration processes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
