Automotive Upholstery Technician
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Upholstery Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive restoration and possess the ability to fabricate, sew, and assemble upholstery components for various vehicles. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and install custom upholstery for automotive interiors, including seats, headliners, door panels, and carpets.
- Operate sewing machines to sew fabric and materials according to specifications.
- Assemble upholstery components using hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Collaborate with team members on auto restoration projects to ensure cohesive design and functionality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the upholstery process and propose effective solutions.
What You Need To Qualify:
- Proven experience in auto upholstery or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using sewing machines, hand tools, and power tools is essential.
- Strong skills in fabricating, sewing, and assembling various upholstery materials.
- Knowledge of auto restoration processes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
