Job Description
- Independently troubleshoots, diagnosis, and completes appliance repairs. Directly interfaces with clients in their homes and businesses while in operation of company vehicle. Maintain appropriate and professional relationships with clients, suppliers, and management.
- Receive parts and inventory necessary to complete repairs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Appliance maintenance service, repairs, and installation using one or more skill areas, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical repairs, and mechanical theory
- Light bulb and filter changes, in addition to tasks not requiring a licensed, skilled trades person or journeyman
- Clean and lubricate parts
- Identifies and corrects unsafe working conditions with management oversight.
- Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated
- Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
- Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner
- Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments
- Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Operate service truck or other similar vehicles
- Diagnosis of mechanical equipment
- Disassemble, repair, and replace broken mechanical parts.
- Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices, as necessary
- Collect payments from customers in their home in the form of cash, check, or credit card
- May be required to assist with special events
- Assists other skilled, trade workers in one or more areas performing specific or standard duties
- Learn new skills for advancement and certification
- Utilize basic cleaning chemicals
- Training, assigning, and auditing entry level employee performance
- Order replacement parts and equipment with management approval
- Inspect completed repairs
- Inventory equipment, parts, and supplies
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Physical Requirements:
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
- Significant walking or other means of mobility
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move 100 pounds
Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location):
- Generally, in an indoor setting, however, may participate in outside activities and events.
- Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business need dictates.
- The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate to loud.
- Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations.
