What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optical Glasses Associate position at Bell & Terrezza Optical?

Job responsibilities will include sales and helping patients with frame and lens selection based on glasses prescription written by optometrist; suggesting lens upgrades based on patient lifestyle; glasses adjustments; minor repairs - dealing with small screws and small glasses parts; ordering prescription glasses with lab; ordering frames from manufacturer; vision insurance knowledge - ability to understand and explain patient's insurance benefits such as exam copays, frame allowance, lens upgrade copays, contact lens fitting fees, etc; answering phones; scheduling patients; dispensing glasses or contact lens orders; train patients on insertion and removal of contact lenses for first time contact lens wearers; notifying patients their glasses are ready for pick up; keeping optical area and work space tidy; collecting payment; scanning optical lab invoices; refill frame boards with under stock frames and other optical duties.
Need good computer skills for use with electronic medical records in optometry office setting - RevolutionEHR. Optometry office setting experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Need someone dependable with reliable transportation because travel may be necessary to other locations including our Milton office. Please forward resume.
