We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation aircraft.
This position is onsite in Wichita, Kansas.
Quality Manager, FLRAA Fuselage - Wichita, KS
The Quality Manager will be responsible for all aspects of quality operations for the fuselage manufacturing and assembly for the FLRAA aircraft. The Quality Manager will be part of the Site Leadership Team for the FLRAA program.
Bring your experience and ideas and help us lead effective and efficient quality operations that ensure product safety and reliability, customer safety and satisfaction, and compliance to regulatory requirements for the FLRAA aircraft.
What you'll be doing as a Quality Manager, FLRAA Program:
Manage and lead salary and hourly employees.
Drive site quality activities and initiatives and provides leadership for team alignment to organizational strategy and departmental objectives.
Report to the Senior Quality Manager for the FLRAA program, coordinate and collaborate with the Director of Quality Operations, the Bell Wichita Site Leader, Operations Support Manager, and Quality Managers, as well as operations support functions.
Evaluate business impact regarding metrics, activity reports, delivery schedules, manpower, etc.
Improve inspection throughput and standardization by developing standard inspection plans, policies, and procedures.
Interface with FAA and DCMA customers during daily operations, audits, tours, etc.
Develop, support, and implement process improvements
Qualifications

Excellent communications skills, the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders including customers, internal and external suppliers.
What you need to be successful :
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality in a manufacturing environment
Background in Quality Engineering and/or Quality Operations
Experience managing a team preferred
Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management System requirements and inspection processes and techniques
Quality Audit experience within the AS9100 standard
Certification and experience with Lean Six Sigma at the Green/Black Belt level.
