Overview:
The Associate Inventory Planner will play a critical role in ensuring that customer needs are met through effective collaboration and strategic planning. This individual will work closely with key stakeholders, including sewers, production teams, and planning counterparts, to optimize inventory management and streamline processes. The position will focus on aligning business needs with timely and efficient solutions, enhancing or developing new processes to improve overall operations.
A key responsibility of this role is regular communication with customers, conducting weekly meetings to ensure consistent alignment on the status of open sales orders and address any challenges or adjustments. The Associate Inventory Planner will be integral in ensuring the smooth flow of products and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by meeting deadlines and expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Identify current and potential product shortages, develop and execute recovery plan, and advise key stakeholders
- Drive solutions to reduce and eliminate any delays and roadblocks to meet target ship dates
- Work with production and sew facilities to ensure the cut/sew plans are being followed and communicate urgent needs that may deviate from the original plan along with current business needs
- Provide weekly priority updates to the sew facilities
- Track the flow of fabric and ensure that fabric is arriving based on committed dates from mills/production team
- Deliver data insights, create, and manage reports, and dashboards critical to understanding performance and to drive operational efficiency.
- Manage weekly WIP reports, both customer facing and for sewing
- Conduct weekly meetings with ALO to go over changes to the WIP
- Conduct weekly meetings with both production and the sewers to ensure that priorities are being met along with gaining clear visibility on delays
- Additional Duties as Required
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or 3 years of equivalent work experience
- Bilingual (English & Spanish preferably)
- Open to light travel
- Proactive problem definition and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and time management abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and capability to self-prioritize workload
- Must be an efficient user of Microsoft office tools such as excel, word, PowerPoint. must be able to create spreadsheets, charts and graphs, formulas, V-look ups, etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of sales and operations planning, purchasing, forecasting and inventory management
- Must have thorough understanding of ERP/MRP methodologies and all aspects of demand and supply management
The base salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
