We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a sterile environment by ensuring that all instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for use. This position requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of dental and medical instruments according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of surgical trays and ensure all necessary instruments are available for procedures.
- Utilize medical imaging and documentation systems to track instrument usage and sterilization status.
- Collaborate with dental professionals in various specialties including endodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry to meet specific sterilization needs.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Implement aseptic techniques during instrument handling to prevent contamination.
- Support the integration of technology such as 3D scanners in the sterilization process when applicable.
Requirements
- Knowledge of sterilization processes and infection control protocols is essential.
- Familiarity with medical records management and medical documentation practices.
- Experience with Epic software is preferred but not mandatory.
- Understanding of four-handed dentistry practices is advantageous.
- Previous exposure to endodontics, pediatrics, or general dentistry environments is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also maintaining individual responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
