Job Requirements:

• At least 1 year of non-medical home care experience required – Applicants with less than 1 year of experience will not be considered
• Professional reference from a previous supervisor required
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Background check required

Job Responsibilities:

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality home health care and requires a commitment to patient-centered service.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Monitor and document patients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
• Assist with mobility and physical activities as needed, ensuring safety at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Skills

• Proficient in meal preparation, ensuring healthy options are available for clients.
• Experience in home health care settings is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with patient needs.
• Certification in CPR and first aid is highly desirable.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Strong observational skills for monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes accurately.
• Knowledge of home community care practices that promote independence among clients.
• Competence in medication administration and understanding of medication management protocols.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
